About making them smaller in size.. I think that what might help is if you 'flatten' the image in photoshop. The option is in the "Layers" pallet, you click on the circle on the right side with the little triangle inside it. Then go to 'flatten image' That should help reduce the size of the image. If not then sorry I wasted your time :-)
