1. First thing that comes to mind is Sherlock Holmes. Steve and Danny would be the Sherlock and Watson characters. Chin would be Lestrade. Not sure who Kono would be yet (need to familiarize myself better with the 'verse). Some famous actress gets murdered and they are tasked with finding out who did it. Steve goes all science guy, and Danny still flails his arms wildly.

3. "Does this mean that you're really my daddy now?" "Oh, Gracie, I've been your daddy for awhile now, this just makes it official." Grace smiled and hugged him. "I love you, Steve!" (I know it's more than one sentence, but I just had to complete the scene.)
