Adventures of a complete clutz!

So, I spent about 4 hours at the hospital last night. At about 9pm, I was getting up and I managed to trip on the power cord to my laptop. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I managed to hyper-extend the joints in my left big toe. It swelled up, and I couldn't move it. So, there I was, sitting in the middle of the floor, bawling my eyes out. I haven't hurt that bad since I my foot surgery a few years back.

Hubby helped me onto the couch and got some ice to put on it. He then asked me if we needed to go to the emergency room, or if I could wait till today and go to the clinic. I decided to wait and see if the pain subsided. I've broken toes before and after awhile, the pain lessened. Not this time. It continued to hurt and didn't let up. So, he took me to the emergency room, and we sat there for awhile.

I had x-rays done and sat some more. He finally came in about 1:45 and poked and prodded at it. Yeah, NOT HELPING!!! He then said he couldn't find an fractures on the x-rays, that I most probably hyper-extended it, and it would be painful for a few days.

He sent me home with crutches and Tylenol #3, and instructions to elevate and ice it.

When I woke up this morning, my whole foot hurt. Still does to some extent, but I'm medicated, so that's helping. I had to put poor Pete up in his kennel, because I can't chase him around. I'm home by myself, and the first thing he wanted to do when I got up was go outside. Yeah, not gonna happen with me for a few days. Sorry dude.

Hubby's is being so awesome though. Everytime I said, "This sucks," he would say, "Well, you could have fallen on your head." LOL! He's been great, though. Pretty much waiting on me hand and foot.

So, that has been my adventure. So not fun.

Oh my goodness!! How awful! I'm out running around today, do you want me to bring you anything?

I have to brave Walmart, world of hell to grocery shop. Can you tell how much I'm looking forward to it?! I hate that place. I hate it even more that my money goes farther there. Cheap Made in China crap.

AWWWWWWWWWWW! *hugs* I am always tripping over my laptop cord. Thankfully my Mac has one that has a magnetic cinch that pulls out at pressure. Otherwise I'd probably be right up there with you. :)
