Oh my goodness, that is a horrible thing to experience! I don't blame you one tiny bit for being freaked out. It sounds like you've got some good people looking out for you and taking good measures to make sure it doesn't happen again. I hope the landlord will get on that lighting situation triple quick! That will make a difference, I think.

Yeah, I've got a great support system, and good people that live around me that have been a big help. I hope the landlord does something too, but his track record isn't that great when it comes to anything that's going to cost him money. He keeps raising rent every year, yet there have been little to no improvements since we moved in here. I'm just glad we won't be here much longer.
